The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce is looking for
great ways to help your business grow! When you join, you business will be
hosted for FREE! A one page site will be listed and linked from the Rutherford
Chamber of Commerce website - giving your business FREE advertising and
exposure. If you already have a website, we will list and link that site for
FREE as well.
Each member will need to provide their own
information and the material for their own page; including text and any
photographs. Minimal quarterly updates will be provided FREE of charge!
There are no contracts to sign and you will always
be free to move your website.

along with important Borough of Rutherford schedules and are distributed to new
homeowners.

The Mission of the Rutherford Chamber of
Commerce is to improve and enhance the economic vitality and the quality of
life for the total community and area. In pursuing its mission, the Rutherford
Chamber of Commerce will do the following:
- Be Sensitive and responsive to the needs of business and
community
- Encourage broad community involvement in pursuing community
goals
- Develop, promote and provide leadership.
- Provide services for the membership and community.
- Present views of the business community.
The chamber will accomplish its mission through the
leadership and guidance of the leadership of the Board of Directors, Officers,
Committee Chairs and Staff.
The Rutherford Chamber serves as a catalyst for the
economic success of it's members, our Borough and the surrounding communities;
providing opportunities for growth, leadership, community partnerships and a
voice for the business community.
Vision
The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce will
accomplish its mission by helping its members work together to create a positive
economic setting for the long-term growth of their organizations and by
increasing individual participation in the Chamber's activities.
We will expand our membership by
promoting a positive working relationship among business, government and the
general public, by helping our members attract economic activity to Rutherford
NJ, by working together to resolve business problems that inhibit growth and by
maintaining an effective, efficient organization that is accountable to each of
its members.
From the October 2007 Business Advocate, the monthly publication for the New
Jersey Chamber of Commerce:
A new study reveals that membership in a local chamber of commerce can
significantly boost a businesses image among consumers, as well as other
businesses. When respondents were told that a particular small business was a
member at it's local chamber, they were 44% more likely to rate it favorably
than study respondents who were not told of the chamber affiliation. respondents
were also 63% more likely to want to purchase goods or services from a small
business that is a chamber member. The NJ Chamber of Commerce recommends that a
small business should not only join and participate, but also make sure
consumers and other businesses are aware of that chamber affiliation.
